Cothill House
| Lt Douglas Dalzell
It was with great sadness that the school heard of the death of Douglas Dalzell. Douglas was serving as a Lieutenant with the Coldstream Guards when he was killed in Afghanistan on 18th February, his 27th birthday. He came to Cothill in 1990 and moved on to Radley having established himself as a sportsman. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

| Lt Col Rupert Thorneloe, WG
The Headmaster, staff and boys of Cothill were saddened to hear of the news of the death of Lt Col Rupert Thorneloe, WG, (Cothill 1977-1983) who was killed whilst on active service in Afghanistan. The school’s thoughts and prayers are with his family.
